Most of Us Buckle Up in Lee County

This summer, over 1,000 drivers and passengers were observed all across Lee County. Observations were conducted Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The main finding:

MOST PEOPLE IN LEE COUNTY – ABOUT 90% – WERE BUCKLED UP. 

This includes:

car88% of car drivers and passengers

over 5091% of people over 50

under 2580% of people under 25

truck81% of pickup truck drivers and passengers

men85% of men

women92% of women

Observations are continuing this summer. Be on the lookout for updated seat belt use information on signs throughout the county.
